Artists, galleries, fairs, and the art world, in general, are having a hard time in 2020. To bridge the gap between the public and the art world a lot of effort goes into digital ways of showing. In May 2020 The London Original Print Fair opened a virtual fair, intended to be online until the end of May. Due to the success of LOPF Online, in July there was made the decision to keep the website open after the announced closing date and start a new extended website with the name LOPF Online | The Platform For Prints. Over 2000 prints are shown, from early prints from the 15th century till prints by the artists of today.
Niet bepaald gemakkelijke tijden voor kunstenaars, galeries, beurzen en de kunstwereld in het algemeen. Er wordt hard ingezet op het digitale om een kloof tussen publiek en de kunstwereld te overbruggen en ook de kunstbeurzen gebruiken dit platform. De jaarlijkse The London Original Print Fair ging voor de eerste keer in haar lange geschiedenis digitaal. Bedoeling was om enkel gedurende de maand mei het platform open te stellen. In juli wordt evenwel beslist om de website open te houden na de aangekondigde sluitingsdatum.
LOPF Online | The Platform For Prints is de nieuwe naam en toont meer dan 2000 grafische werken, grafiek van de vroege 15de eeuw tot hedendaags werk.
